| Abstract: | The development of global navigation systems has significantly impacted the safety and efficiency of modern transportation, while also creating a critical dependence on satellite systems. The current geopolitical situation and the technological characteristics of global navigation satellite systems reveal the vulnerabilities of this dependence. Signals from global navigation satellite systems are extremely weak and vulnerable to jamming, spoofing, and electronic warfare measures. Moreover, these signals do not penetrate environments critically important for railway transport, such as underground tunnels and dense urban areas. Although traditional inertial navigation systems provide some degree of autonomy, they suffer from significant drift error accumulation, making them unsuitable for long-term navigation without external corrections. Quantum navigation offers a revolutionary solution to this dilemma by leveraging the fundamental properties of quantum systems to achieve a new level of positioning accuracy and reliability. |
