Штучний інтелект у розвитку цифровізації країн: глобальні аспекти

Abstract

UA: У статті досліджено роль штучного інтелекту у цифровізації країн в умовах глобальних технологічних трансформацій. Систематизовано етапи розвитку ШІ, проаналізовано динаміку наукових публікацій, географію інвестицій та кадровий потенціал. Досліджено позиції держав у світових рейтингах цифровізації. Встановлено, що інвестиції у ШІ є важливим, але не єдиним чинником цифрового розвитку сучасних світових країн.

EN: This article examines the role of artificial intelligence in the digitalisation of countries in the context of contemporary global technological transformations. It argues that artificial intelligence is gradually becoming one of the key drivers of a country’s digital development. The main stages of the global development of artificial intelligence technologies are systematised – from the formation of theoretical foundations to the spread of machine learning and modern generative models. The dynamics of scientific publications in the Scopus database devoted to the role of AI in digitalisation are analysed, revealing a significant increase in scientific interest in this issue. The geographical structure of investment in the development of artificial intelligence and the distribution of human resources in the AI sector has been examined. The leading areas of artificial intelligence technology implementation in the USA, China, the UK, Singapore, Canada, India and EU member states have been identified. The positions of countries in the Global Digital Competitiveness Ranking and the Global Digitalisation and Intelligence Index have been analysed. Attention has been paid to identifying the relationship between investment activity in the field of AI and the level of digital development in countries. The correlation analysis carried out revealed a moderate positive correlation between the volume of investment in AI and the Global Digitalisation and Intelligence Index. It was found that investment in AI is an important, but not the sole, factor in a country’s digital development. The success of digital transformation is also determined by the state of the digital infrastructure, scientific potential, government support and the effectiveness of the practical implementation of AI technologies.
