Abstract: It is established that the decrease in the rate of innovative modernization of railway transport leads to an increase in the technological gap between the level of development of Ukrainian and world railways. In order to deepen the integration of Ukrainian railway transport into the global transport and logistics system, the expediency of ensuring the implementation of high-quality innovative and technological digital changes in the activities of the Ukrainian railway company is proved. The processes of digitalization in railway transport are studied and key directions for implementing digital changes in this area are highlighted. The expediency of using Internet of Things technologies, the use of which in railway transport activities will contribute to improving the operational efficiency and safety of railway transportation and improving the customer experience, is proved. The stages of implementation of Internet of Things technologies in railway transport are revealed. Information, technological, operational and economic advantages of introducing internet technologies in railway transport are outlined.
